Realizing there will be more bad then good on here, but there wont be shit if I don't even begin with the bad. So it's all relevent.

I was inspired to create this post because I documented a point when a doodle evolves. And before I go all in with drawing and tracing then inking, I wanted to show you what the doodle looked like at this point in time. Right now, before it takes on a new form completely and goes on the front page of the giant doodle scroll. I love doodling because of what the culmination brings. You can look back on your work and see some actual change or progression.

Goals, shmoles, holes and whatever else rhymes.

With a new arbitrary number showcasing the death of our lord, comes a time to wipe away the past and make ourselves a new point of accountability for the next arbitrary number.

It's a fun excersize in how fast you can let yourself down. But this time I seem to be holding strong. I pledged to keep breathing, eat once in a while, and sleep now and then. Small steps.

With my smartass aside I do have plans for this next go around the sun. So far I haven't had a drink and bought my last pouch of tobacco for the year. I make vigina slims look like cigars.

I also have a plan to hustle gigs and work on this site for the year. With this blog I want to go into the making of my doodles and give you a look behind the doodle, thought process and steps of its creation. With that, I present to you the first doodle of the year.

This doodle was done over a weekend with Survivor in the background. The centerpiece was completed first with the frame afterwards. This being the first doodle I go into, I’ll try and talk a little about my process. With this work I laid down some basic shapes with pencil and worked my way outwards. There is very little planning that goes into my doodles. I just work from one line to the next until I feel a natural end. In this case I liked the overall shape it made but wanted to center it in a frame. After laying out guidelines I worked from the center left clockwise. Usually there's something of an inspiration I want to explore. This came with the mask on the right and the lettering and train on the bottom left. The lettering, reading ABOLISH 9-5 was a tail end sentiment. Society has been in a struggle with work and labor for the longest time, and I feel it would be good to rework how we think about labor and compensation, especially because the majority of work these days don't follow such a constant routine (also considering work generally begins earlier to compensate for an hour of lunch, so it's all a lie anyways). But as you can see from my other drawings, I generally give it to the beholder eyes to figure out what they see. This year I want to make more objective pieces while keeping its evolutionary nature.

That's about as much prose as I can think to put to my first dood of the year.
